- The Spinal
Research Centre carries out clinical research aimed directly at improving
patient treatment and management. The research strategy of the Spinal
Research Centre is based upon a number of key research programmes which
cover all aspects of the needs of patients with dysfunction of the spine
or spinal cord. Each programme is overseen by a clinician and a scientist.
- The research
carried out in Spinal Research Centre is funded through government Research
Councils, charities, the Board of Clinical Studies at RNOH and NHS R&D.
- The findings
of the research are presented at national and international conferences
and scientifc meetings and published in peer reviewed journals.
- The Spinal
Research Centre also carries out sponsored clinical trials for commercial
companies.
