to the Spinal Research Centre Home Page
- The
Spinal Research Centre provides a dedicated clinical research facility
to enable the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital to undertake research
and development into the restoration, rehabilitation and reintegration
of people with dysfunction of the spine and spinal cord. Its
long term priorities are research focussed on improving patient
management and health promotion.
- The
Spinal Research Centre incorporates a number of existing units within
the Trust to facilitate a cohesive clinical research environment.
The principal constituents are the NeuroProstheses Research Centre,
Spinal Injury Unit, Neurosurgery, Peripheral Nerve Injury and Hand
Unit, Spinal Surgery Unit, Shoulder Unit and Anaesthetics.
